10 teams-finalists from 9 universities will take part in the Youth Day FinTech

As a result of the selection round, the Central Bank of Russia and the FinTech Association selected 10 teams from 9 Russian universities for participation in the FinTech Youth Day, which will be held for the first time on October 4 in the framework of the Finopolis 2017 Forum of Innovative Financial Technologies in Sochi. In the specialization of "Business Analytics" teams from ITMO University (Saint Petersburg), Lomonosov Moscow State University (Moscow), Southern Federal University (Rostov-on-Don), National Research University Higher School of Economics (Moscow) and Syktyvkar State University named after Pitirim Sorokin (Syktyvkar) got to the final. Among the programmers - representatives of ITMO University (Saint Petersburg), Vladimir State University (Vladimir, Moscow), Innopolis (Kazan), Novosibirsk State University (Novosibirsk) and Siberian Federal University (Kranoyarsk) reached the final round. Participants attending the final of the Youth Day will be able to hear lectures of top managers of Russian banks, venture funds and representatives of the Central Bank of Russia, as well as compete in solving actual problems proposed by participants of the financial market. Winners of the Youth Day are waiting for meetings with experts in the field of FinTechl, heads of leading Russian banks and IT companies, as well as awards and prizes from the organizing committee and partners of Finopolis 2017. In total, at the selection stage, organizers of Youth Day FinTech received more than 300 individual applications. The largest number of applications came from Moscow (118), St. Petersburg (48) and Kazan (36). Leaders among universities are the Higher School of Economics (47 applications), Innopolis and Lomonosov Moscow State University (17 applications each). After teaming up of participants 151 team application has been requested. According to the rules, teams had to pass the preliminary selection stage and in two weeks to complete practical tasks, divided into two specializations - business analytics and programming. Eventually, 47 teams sent their solutions of case.
