"In the first nine months of 2016, the total amount of attempted robberies from accounts in Russian banks is estimated at 5 billion rubles," said Artem Sichev, Deputy Head of the Main Department for Security Management and Information Protection of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation.

According to him, this amount is negligible, and is just a tenth of the whole volume of monetary flow in Russia.

Some of the attempts were successful (2 million rubbles stolen) and some were prevented (3 million rubbles saved).
