The first plenary discussion of the Finopolis 2016 will cover the development prospects of the financial market up to 2026. The following speakers are expected to make reports: Governor of the Bank of Russia Elvira Nabiullina and Chairman of the Executive Board of Moscow Exchange PJSC Alexander Afanasiev; discussion moderator – Chairman of the Executive Board of Sberbank PJSC German Gref.

The second plenary discussion will focus on the topical issues of cybersecurity, with CEO of Kaspersky Lab JSC Eugene Kaspersky as the moderator. Moreover, at 17 breakout sessions during the two days of the forum it is planned to discuss the issues of regulation of innovative financial technologies and business models as well as the development of specific technologies, such as blockchain, Big Data tools, artificial intelligence, Open API, and many others.

The Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the Finopolis 2016, Deputy Governor of the Bank of Russia Olga Skorobogatova emphasizes the importance of continuous exchange of ideas between the market and the regulators for the development of technologies in the financial market: "The Bank of Russia pays considerable attention to the exploration and implementation of new technologies in the Russian financial market. We are engaged in an ongoing dialogue with the market participants. The Fin polis is one of the base platforms for the establishment of a common vision of the regulator and the business on the prospects of the financial industry transformation under the influence of new technologies and for the discussion of specific fintech projects in the Russian market."

The FinTech Startups Contest to be held in the framework of the forum, was organized jointly with the federal accelerator GenerationS. 18 startups that have passed the preliminary expert selection will present their projects at the special events of the forum.
