Winners of FinTech Startup Contest Announced at FINOPOLIS 2018
The winners of the annual FinTech startup competition were awarded at the Forum of Innovative Financial Technologies FINOPOLIS 2018 in Sochi on 19 October.
Over 100 teams submitted applications for participation in the contest. The expert jury, made up of representatives from the Bank of Russia, FinTech Association, leading banks, and financial companies selected ten finalists who presented their projects at the forum. The presented projects were related to payment services, mobile platforms, investments, banking services, scoring systems and other areas of financial technologies.
The winners are to receive grants for business development.
This year, there were four winners of the contest, who presented the following projects:
Q.Platform creates fast connections through open interfaces between platform members: banks that provide financial infrastructure and fintech companies that need infrastructure to create and develop their own business models and innovative solutions. This is a 100% Russian solution with a clear B2B focus.
Seeneco business accounts settlement service is the platform that accelerates transactions between companies by exchanging electronic invoices and instant payments through Internet bank.
Third place was shared by two projects:
QROOTO is a cashback service based on a mobile application that allows producers to stimulate purchases of their products. This is a convenient tool for the user to save money on purchases of goods and services with the possibility of withdrawing funds. CraftTalk software platform is a set of tools for creating flexible business solutions and automating service, sales and marketing.
During FINOPOLIS 2018, the contest participants were provided with places at the FinTech Startups Alley in the Forum’s exhibition area for meetings with potential customers.
The FinTech startup contest is held for the fourth time and is aimed at developing the innovative environment by increasing the number of high-tech projects, identifying advanced ideas and technologies for electronic interaction in the financial market.
