FINOPOLIS 2021/22: business agenda

13 October 2022

The FINOPOLIS 2021/22 innovative financial technologies forum’s business agenda hosts four plenary discussions and more than 20 break-away sessions and round-tables.

As per tradition, FINOPOLIS starts off with a plenary discussion moderated by Bank of Russia Governor Elvira Nabiullina. The discussion topic is "Digital Development. How Do We Keep the Pace?". Speakers will discuss the future of Russian technology, competitiveness of the Russian digital infrastructure, and security as a prerequisite for digital development.

The second plenary discussion of the day, "Digital Surfing: Wave upon Wave", is dedicated to the digital platforms evolution, identification, and the ever more relevant promotion and application of open APIs. The discussion will be moderated by Olga Skorobogatova, First Deputy Governor of the Bank of Russia.

The second day of the forum will see two plenary sessions. "The Digital Ruble and the Development of Digital Financial Assets" session deals with digital rouble, non-cash payments tokenisation, and the latest developments in digital financial assets. Last but not least, comes the "Technologies of the Future discussion", where the future of digital services and quantum tech will be brought up along with artificial intelligence.

Other relevant issues to be part of the conversation are digital insurance, instant payment, application of Unified Biometric and commercial biometric systems, digital inclusivity, cybersecurity, and Russian IT to name a few.

This year, FINOPOLIS 2021/22 will be held at Crocus Expo in Moscow, on the 10th and 11th of November.
